Mathews Tyre Service

Have been going there for 30 years. This time just needed a pink slip. The manager said I needed new tyres, showed me the marker guides on the tyres and said the thread had to be 1.6m above those. It was the last day of rego and 5pm so I agreed to tyre change to enable rego right away. I googled his claim when I got home. In NSW the law is 1.5mm and the guides are the 1.6mm markers, not FROM the top of the guides. In other words, the tyres did not need replacing. Very pissed off at being scammed. The only joy I get is they lost a 30 year customer for $200. Idiots, go and spend another $1000 on mail drops to replace me. I feel sorry for the staff who looked on knowing what he was doing but could not say anything, they went from friendly to silent at light speed.

I've used these guys for more than twenty years! They are always fast and efficient and well priced I must say. I would strongly recommend them for any car repairs.
